Saturday 20th June is the longest day of the year, also known as the Summer Solstice. For those who love the outdoors, it’s the perfect time to get out there and make the most of more daylight hours for exploring. To celebrate, we’re holding a series of events on the day itself as well as activities throughout the week preceding and we want you to join us to keep the spirit of adventure alive from home or in the outdoors on your doorstep.
The main event is Elevenses and we’re encouraging you to find time to disconnect and get outside for everyone’s favourite break-time. At 11am sharp on Saturday 20th June, join us for a drink, and snack and take a moment to enjoy the great outdoors around you, whether you’ve walked all morning to find the best view or simply enjoy your garden or local park. Don’t forget to share a picture with us using the hashtag #elevenses
Other events and activities throughout the week and on the day itself include an outdoor photography tutorial, a backcountry coffee class, afternoon yoga and a sunset soundscape - all hosted via our social media channels and led by passionate outdoor experts. Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay updated ahead of the big event and to join us on the day.
So, start planning where you’ll be taking your Elevenses, get your camping mugs ready, and look forward to a full day celebrating the Summer Solstice with us on Saturday 20th June.
